A short note to all members.
THANK YOU for your confidence in my leadership to move the association forward, and for understanding the division of duties between the Board President and the General Manager position. I will in addition to being the President, become an employee of Lake Villas as General Manager working 3 days a week Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 24 hours @ $20 per hour for 6 months and then we will re-evaluate. Our goal is to re-organize our structure and become more productive with more accountability.
It was a pleasure having a well structured meeting and several members offering their services to assist us in cleaning up Lake Villas:
1. Jessie Kramer - volunteered to remove the debris and downed fence line in the back of the property.
2. James Taglia - negotiated a fantastic price from the Boy Scout's from St. Mary Magdalen tonight to deliver and install mulch (as a fund raiser) throughout Lake Villas.
3. Kevin Speedy - was hired to develop a website, and a domain name for Lake Villas. Further he will be assisting me in developing programs that will help us establish time lines for completing the building project.
4. Debbie Vaughn - was appointed to the Board to file the vacant spot and was voted as the Board's Secretary.
The Board's new slate of officer's are as follows:
Jo Ann Gates - President
James Taglia - Vice President
Nancy Roman - Treasurer
Debbie Vaughn - Secretary
Roberta Cute - Director
5. Hopefully by next week, all the pool furniture will be restrapped, the pools power washed and the pavers sealed to get ready for the summer festivities.
6. Welcome aboard Willie Fajardo he will be working with the maintenance personnel to get us back on track of beautification of the Villas.
7. I will be contacting Howard at Massey Services to get help with the rat infestation.
8. Nancy Roman and Roberta Cute will be contacting everyone with a short survey so we can determine how many Units need installation of alumniconns, and so we can set a schedule to complete the installation of alumniconns. This is VERY IMPORTANT!! If we can complete this quickly, it should assist in opening more availability to quotes from more companies making us a more competitive property and hopefully will begin to bring down the insurance premiums.
This is a highlight of tonight's meeting. I will send out the Building Committee Report and the Maintenance Report. In the President's Report I highlighted multiple issues we are facing as an Association.
Again, thank you, looking forward to new improvements.
