Good afternoon LV Owners and Residents,
As we move into the new year the board wants to send a friendly reminder to all dog owners.
There have been several reports that we have owners/residents that are not picking up after their dog(s). Both our Rules and Regulations (page 5) and the Seminole County ordinance require dog owners to pick up after their pets. Remember our community is made up of common areas, including docks and pools, for the use of all. We must respect and show courtesy towards our community and neighbor's rights to enjoy all areas on property.
Furthermore, it has been noticed that we have several dogs roaming off-leash. Again, Seminole County and our rules (page 5) also state animals must be on leash. This is not only for the safety of other pets and humans, but for yours as well.
Seminole County (09/25/2018) established that, "Dogs must be restrained by a leash, that is no longer than 8 feet. Owners are required to pick up their dog waste that is outside of their own property. Fines can range from $50 for first violation to mandatory court appearance and $200 fine." Seminole County Ordinance
Please take this as a first warning and understand that we will take further action if this continues to be an issue.
Thank you for keeping Lake Villas beautiful!
