It has come to my attention we seem to have some areas that need improving by owners/tenants and further needs immediate action:
1. We seem to have vehicles that do not have current tags!
(a) a blue motorcycle that does not have a current tag, Secondly be aware that you should park it properly in a visitor space.
(b) a BMW that does not have a current tag. This has been sitting for a long time in a visitor space. If this vehicle is not moved and/or maintained in a workable condition, we will tow it at the owner's expense.
(c) a big red van that does not have a current tag.
(d) if there are other vehicles, it will get noticed and you will be informed.
2. In the landscaping that is along the public paved walkway heading alongside Units 154 and 152 this area is loaded with dog poop bags. This needs to be cleaned up immediately. This is a potential health risk, not to mention unsightly, and can create unwanted pests. We are coming around this week to do landscaping in this area, so please do not leave that for the maintenance personnel or the landscapers. It is not their responsibility to clean up dog POOP!
3. A basketball hoop that can not be on the property. We are developing a plan for a kids area to play in the community, but this will require a community vote of 71 members. Further, this is a discussion at a board meeting, a full plan and a vote of all members.
4. We also have members who like to do home projects on the weekends. Keep in mind that there are members who like the peace, restfulness and quiet that Lake Villas has to offer. Please use some common sense, some neighborhood courtesy, and keep in mind that your projects might be destroying other members' peace and quiet.
We want to be fair to every member. But this is not your individual residence and there are rules and regulations and your actions impact several members. Let's clean up your act to avoid the need for personal negative interaction.
